Autumn is my FAVORITE time of year hands down! I love the changing colors, I love the leaves everywhere. I love watching my kids play in the leaves, trick or treating, Thanksgiving, etc. Just love the coziness of it all! So in honor of my favorite season, I've put together a fun giveaway.
I have a hardcover of Kate Jacob's The Friday Night Knitting Club as well as an ARC of Knit Two! One winner will get BOTH books. I'm going to throw in a gift that goes along with it as well, just to add to the coziness (hint: it has to do with warm beverages).Contest rules:
1) Leave a comment WITH AN EMAIL ADDRESS. If you don't leave an email in the comment, you will be disqualified. In your comment, please let me know if you happen to be a knitter as well as a book lover and I might throw an extra little surprise in the box if you win!

I use to knit when I was younger but I haven't for years. I should get back into it. It would be a great way to relax.

I am also a fan of autumn. I love the changing colors and the smells. Unfortunately this year I think we got jipped; it was cool (no Indian summer) and it rained so much that the colors weren't very good. I'm hoping next year will be better.

I would love to win this! Both titles are on my TBR list. I learned to knit as a child. I can knit anything.....that is square or rectangular....LOL!! I do not knit often, but have knit blankets for babies, scarves, cotton dishcloths, and that sort of thing. I would like to eventually learn to knit socks!

ReplyDeleteI learned to knit briefly in college and made my dad a sweater but then gave it up as I wasn't very good. Now I read so much, my eyes probably couldn't do both...plus my fingers have trouble with arthritis so....but I love to see people make those gorgeous things.

ReplyDeleteAs for your knitting question, I have knit in the past and would like to be a knitter but I really can't call myself one. I remember trying to make myself a sweater once; I started it when I was 12 and didn't finish until I was close to 17. By then, I'd grown breasts and it no longer fit. I also tried knitting a scarf once - I got bored and it ended up being a sleeping bag for my Barbies.

Autumn is my favorite season, too; it has the nicest smell. =)
ReplyDeleteI prefer embroidery, but I've knitted. I've knitted about six scarves, one pair of leg warmers, and one (successful) hat. The hardest thing was figuring out how to cable knit.
